'Stumbling block' in the Bible

And David saith, "Let their table be for a snare, and for a trap, and for a stumbling-block, and for a recompence unto them:

Let us therefore no more judge one another; but judge this rather, that no one put a stumbling-block or offence before his brother.

Yet I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there some who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to lay a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat of idol sacrifices, and to commit whoredom.
